Ardingly "Tunes of Glory" day

On 4th September, CSBS are taking part in the Tunes of Glory day at Ardingly festival ground. In addition to running a bar, we are putting together a torchlit procession and firework display. More details will follow shortly. Click here for a copy of the brochure or visit the official website www.tunesofglory.co.uk.

Bars

CSBS run a professional bar service that can cater for small to large events. If you are able to help run this or any other bar, or would like us to run a bar for you, please contact Paul Wilkinson at commercialbars@yahoo.co.uk

What can YOU do for CSBS

From a membership level, CSBS could be classed as a very successful society. With over 1000 members we are the largest society in the town which is reflected in our incredible display on the Fifth.
It is unfortunate however that throughout the year we see so little of the majority of these members. A small number of dedicated people work so hard from Nov 6th one year to the Fifth the following year to make sure we raise enough funds to put on that display and have enough torches, banners, badges, fireworks, barrels, firewood, fencing, lighting, transport, storage etc etc etc, to make it work.

Each and every member should ask themselves - 'What can I do for MY society'. Here are a few ideas:

  • Turn up to events run by the Society!
  • Help Paul with the Bars
  • Come torch making from September
  • Come up with your own event

If we don't raise enough money throughout the year then we have little option but to either increase membership fees (which we have already done once) or decrease the size of the society by freezing the membership (which we are doing this year for the first time)

Ideas are more than welcome on our Forum
